Enteral Nutrition
Enteral nutrition should be considered when a patient can no longer consume adequate calories and protein to maintain ideal body weight and optimal health. The patient is fed a completely liquid, medically nutritious formula instead of solid food. The formula is fed through a feeding tube that has been placed in either the stomach or small intestine.
Carmichael's experienced dietitians work closely with the primary caregiver to ensure the patient obtains the proper nutritional intake during treatment. Our knowledgeable staff makes it easier for home health agencies, physicians and most importantly, patients to transition into a stable home care environment. Our extensive service line and reputable customer service makes it easier for home health agencies/patients to obtain nutritional packets and equipment, no matter where they may be located - even in rural areas.
