Chemotherapy

Carmichael's offers chemotherapy treatments for the home or doctor's office environment for the convenience and comfort of our customers. Patients can either pick up or the chemotherapy treatment from Carmichael's or we can arrange for delivery to an office for administration.

If a patient wishes to receive chemotherapy at home, Carmichael's can assist in the finding of the nursing agency or will work with the patient's preferred nursing agency. Carmichael's will train the nursing agent in the preparation of the medication, in-person demonstration on using the pump, and administration of the chemo treatment. Carmichael's will also make sure that the patient is fully educated about the treatment as well as administration procedure. After treatment, used bags are packaged properly and brought back to Carmichael's for safe disposal. For extended duration treatments, Carmichael's offers chemotherapy infusion treatments for up to one week.

All infusion patients are contacted on a daily basis to make sure they understand everything about their treatment, and are doing well. Our personal service includes educating our patients so that they understand what they're getting, why they're getting it and ensuring they are comfortable with the medication and dispensation equipment.
